Usually it does not matter how you live or you live alone or with your children and a pet, at any time of a week a piece of rug or cloth will be able to find inundated with one or the other thing which could stain it permanently. Be it a bit of grape juice or wine, the leaking ink pen, pencil, grease, tomato sauce or anything else, knowing about handling the stain at the outset to the problem is half of the solution.
It is very important to get as much of it up as soon as a spill is noticed. In case you have a cleaner for it, wipe it away by dabbing it on. If an item can be rinsed easily then you may use vinegar after treating it and residue is taken away. Vinegar solution can even be dapped on the original site but remember that all fabrics don’t favor the vinegar’s acidity. You best bet is to blot, press down and gently turn clockwise.
You may refer to some of the other hints and helps mentioned below -:
1. In order to maintain the original white color, you may add peroxide (half cup) to you wash once in a month along with the baking soda (half of earlier).
2. For food stains, quickly grab some soda water and apply it over the stain. You can even use liquid soap if soda water is not available.
3. For ink, you need to dab on rubbing alcohol
4. In case of wax, let it cool first and then remove each layer one by one using an iron and a newspaper.
5. Gum stain can be removed by icing it and then breaking it off.
6. In case of tarnish, a paste of baking soda or toothpaste is used to brush on.
7. Grease and oil can be removed applying diluted juice or orange water.
8. Rust can be removed by lemon juice.
9. For coffee stains, you should try diluted vinegar. Make sure that you rinse it completely and don’t over concentrate the solution.
